When will Liverpool win the league?
Liverpool could be crowned Premier League champions next Sunday in the Merseyside derby at Everton.
If Arsenal manage to beat Man City at the Etihad in midweek, Liverpool will sow up the title with three points at Goodison Park.
Alternatively, a win for Liverpool at Anfield against Crystal Palace on June 24th could wrap up the championship.
James Pearce names four players set to get increased game time
On a recent edition of The Ornstein & Chapman Podcast from the Athletic (listen below), reporter James Pearce offered his thoughts on how Jurgen Klopp could shuffle his team in the final stages of the season, once the title is secured.
James Pearce believes four players will be in line for more game time: youngsters Harvey Elliott, Neco Williams and Curtis Jones plus Naby Keita.
17-year-old Harvey Elliott has made one Premier League appearance this season against Sheffield United.
19-year-old Neco Williams is a Welsh right-back who is yet to make his league bow.
While 19-year-old midfielder Curtis Jones was brought on for Liverpool against West Ham back in January.
James Pearce added that Elliott, Williams and Jones are set to be included in Liverpool’s first team next season, and the club aren’t looking to loan them out.
On Naby Keita, James Pearce argued that after two years at Liverpool he’s yet to prove himself at the club. The final string of matches this season could be a major factor on how much Keita plays next season.
Updates on Adam Lallana, Harry Wilson & Marko Grujic
James Pearce also dropped a few other Liverpool predictions.
– While Adam Lallana agreed a contract extension to remain at Anfield until the end of the campaign, Lallana isn’t expected to feature much in the final games of the season.
– Harry Wilson and Marko Grujic are likely to remain Liverpool players next season as the club believe they won’t receive high enough transfer offers due to the economic impact of the coronavirus.
