Bruno Fernandes was a big fan of Man City’s Stephen Ireland
Former Man City midfielder Stephen Ireland has sat down for a long interview with the Athletic’s Daniel Taylor.
Stephen Ireland revealed that new Man United signing, Bruno Fernandes, lives three doors down on the same road.
According to Ireland, Bruno Fernandes was a big fan of him as a youngster:
He told me that, as a kid, he had a poster of me.
He said that when he played Football Manager he always signed me.
I was like, ‘You had me on a poster? And, seriously, you sign me for Football Manager?’ I mean, how weird is that?

£100m to bring Raul Jimenez from Wolves to Man United
In the latest edition of the Transfer Window podcast, Wolves striker Raul Jimenez has been linked with a 100 million pound move to Man United. Reporter Duncan Castles claimed:
[Juventus] see [Jimenez] as a potential, major upgrade on Gonzalo Higuain who they are trying to get off their wage bill at all costs.
Wolves want to make it clear that that is impossible. They value the player at €100m, that’s their asking price.
There is interest from clubs like Juventus, there’s interest from Manchester United, there has been enquiries from Manchester United dating back several months, and other top clubs are looking at the player, therefore if he is to leave they expect a fee to represent his qualities and the level of club that are interested in them.

29-year-old Raul Jimenez is under contract at Wolves until 2023.
This season, the Mexican has scored 23 goals in all competitions. That includes 14 goals in the Premier League.
Back in March, the Mexican attacker said the following during a Facebook Live video:
I have a contract until 2023.
It’s not that we have to qualify for the Champions League in order to stay. I’m good [here], happy with Wolves, doing important things – me as well as the whole team.
We’ve been trying our best since the start of last season. We’ve qualified for the Europa League, now we’re fighting for a Champions League spot.
And it’s the big motivation to keep growing as a player and getting into the Champions League is always a plus that satisfies you and keeps you thinking about big things.
