EFL chairman Rick Parry meets the UK’s Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee
While many remain focused on the possible resumption of the 2019-20 Premier League, what’s going to happen in the rest of the Football League?
On Tuesday morning, EFL chairman Rick Parry discussed many of the problems facing clubs in the EFL when he faced the Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Committee.
Leeds & West Brom receive Premier League promotion boost
When the Championship season was halted due to the Covid-19 crisis, Leeds lead the standings ahead of West Brom.
Leeds have 71 points, while WBA are on 70 points. Fulham are third on 64 points, while Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Preston were in the remaining playoff spots.
Nobody yet knows if three teams from the Championship will be promoted to the Premier League.
However, Rick Parry strongly came out in favour of promotion and relegation, noting they’ll be “very messy” legal action if that doesn’t happen.

With regarding to naming Liverpool and/or Leeds champions of their respective divisions, Rick Parry said it was “premature” to make any decision.
