How Man United hope to convince Jude Bellingham to sign
Manchester United have been linked with Birmingham Citys 16-year-old Jude Bellingham for some time.
Bellingham has broken onto the scene this season at St Andrew’s.
The teenager made his debut for Birmingham back in August, becoming the club’s youngest ever player.
Bellingham has played 32 matches in the Championship, scoring four goals and chipping in with two assists.
Bellingham’s contract with the Blues expires in 2021, so this summer seems the natural time for Birmingham to sell.
While Man United have been linked to the midfielder, so have German giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
A few months ago, the German press believed that BVB were winning the race to sign Bellingham.
Today, the Evening Standard’s James Robson has reported on how Man United are trying to convince the youngster to sign for them instead:
Manchester United want Jude Bellingham to immediately challenge for a first-team place if they win the race for the Birmingham starlet this summer.
Despite being just 16-years-old, the midfielder is seen as a generational talent capable of joining straight up with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s squad.
It should also be noted that back in March, reports circled that Bellingham had been given a tour of Old Trafford by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Bellingham could cost as much as 30 million pounds.
Bellingham will go straight into first team contention if United win the race for him. He is the centre point of United’s youth drive, which also includes Jurado and Hugill #mufc https://t.co/HEqD9JKqB8

Angel Gomes tipped for Chelsea move
At the same time as Man United are reportedly stepping up efforts to sign Birmingham’s Bellingham, the Red Devils seem poised to lose one of their existing exciting youngsters.
Should that set off alarm bells for Bellingham?
According to widespread reports, Angel Gomes is ready to leave Old Trafford this summer.
Gomes is looking to leave United in order to play more football.
The Mirror report that Gomes, who is out of contract on June 30, has failed to agree a new deal with United.
Man United offered the midfielder an improved £30,000-a-week deal, which Gomes has rejected. The Mirror claim:
Chelsea believe they are close to landing Manchester United starlet Angel Gomes.
The 19-year-old midfielder, an England Under-20 international, has recruited super-agent Pini Zahavi who is understood to have held talks with Blues transfer chief Marina Granovskaia.
Chelsea are confident of signing Angel Gomes from Manchester United this summer. His agent has held talks with Marina Granovskaia.
