Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has recently given his thoughts on the ongoing race for a top-four spot in the Premier League.
Man United eyeing top-four
The battle for the 2019/20 Premier League title has been done and dusted for some time now, with Liverpool officially crowned champions last Thursday.
However, the English top-flight is still filled with exciting battles across the table, one of which comes in the form of the race for the top-four.
Currently, Leicester and Chelsea occupy 3rd and 4th place respectively.
However, after the Foxes’ dramatic drop-off, and Chelsea’s loss to West Ham, the chasing pack are now hot on the heels of the two sides.
One of the clubs no doubt desperate to displace either Chelsea or Leicester are Manchester United.
And, as already mentioned, the Red Devils’ boss has recently been giving his thoughts on the race for 4th.
Man United will play Leicester on the final day of the campaign, and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer appears to be of the opinion that the battle for 4th will go down to the final game week:
“I think the last round of fixtures is going to be vital.
“You have got Chelsea vs Wolves and us against Leicester – so it might be a three-point advantage for us or Leicester and it is still an important game.
“And I can’t see the difference between us and Leicester being a lot more than three points either way and it is the same with Chelsea and Wolves.”
“It’s looking exciting, It’s a short space of time and so many games in that time but I think it will go down to the last game.”

Man United vs Bournemouth
However, for the time being, United must draw their attention to Saturday, as they welcome Bournemouth to Old Trafford.
The Cherries have been in dismal form since the season’s resumption, losing all of their fixtures.
So, if the expected outcome of a Man United triumph does indeed play out later today, then Solskjaer and co. will find themselves, temporarily at least, up to 4th in the Premier League table..
