Championship confirms restart plans for June 20
Last weekend, the EFL confirmed plans to restart the 2019-20 Championship season on June 20, subject to government approval.
Plans were also announced to finish the season with the playoff final on or around July 30.
In addition, The EFL is considering allowing 5 substitutions a game with matchday squads extended to 20 players.

QPR: We’re appalled
However, reactions to the plans to restart the Championship haven’t been met with universal approval.
On Monday, QPR, who are 13th in the league, issued a fierce rebuke to the EFL’s announcement.
QPR chief executive, Lee Hoos, claimed that the plans were announced without consultation with the clubs:
There was an appalling lack of corporate governance.
It dropped out of nowhere and that’s what my real issue is: the process of how this was done.
The clubs need to have a talk, and come to a kind of consensus of how we take this forward.

Stoke & Charlton also object
On Tuesday, the Daily Mail have reported that Stoke and Charlton are also opposed to the Championship’s restart plans.
Stoke are 17th in the division, while Charlton are sat in the relegation zone in 22nd.

Will these objections halt the Championship relaunch plans?
Right now there’s no reason to believe these clubs will be able to postpone the Championship’s resumption plans.

The EFL announced the proposed restart date of the 2019-20 season following a number of direct approaches from Championship clubs seeking clarity.
It should be recognised that there is significant support within the Championship to get back playing as soon as possible, from a sporting integrity perspective and to lessen the impact on season 2020-21.
Three Charlton players are refusing to play, including Lyle Taylor
When it comes to Charlton, they have an additional problem that three of their squad members are refusing to play when football returns.
Crucially, Addicks top scorer Lyle Taylor is one of those players. Chris Solly and David Davis are also refusing to play.
Taylor has scored 11 goals in 22 matches, and he’s been tipped to move from the Valley in the summer.
Charlton manager Lee Bowyer has defended Taylor’s decision. Bowyer told the Guardian:
I can’t make him play. But at the same time, I understand his situation – and it’s difficult because he’s got a chance of earning life-changing money.
It’s not like he’s a young lad and he’s got many years in front of him. I half understand because he may not get this opportunity again.
