Real Madrid’s first Kai Havertz bid has been rejected

German outlet SportBuzzer have issued a strongly worded update this week on the future of Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz.

Havertz is scheduled to be in action on Wednesday night when Bayer face Cologne in the Bundesliga.

According to SportBuzzer, Real Madrid are leading the charge to sign the 20-year-old this summer.

However, it’s claimed that “Bayer Leverkusen has declined a first offer” from Los Blancos.

 

How much did Real Madrid offer Bayer Leverkusen?

Bayer Leverkusen are looking to sell Havertz for at least 100 million euros, however Real Madrid’s offer was “far” below that price tag, reports SportBuzzer.

In addition, it’s claimed that Real are looking to include two players as makeweights in the deal.

Bayer Leverkusen “aren’t convinced” by Real Madrid’s approach until now.

 

Havertz ‘will move to Spain’ in a blow for Chelsea

It’s been confirmed in recent days that Chelsea are in the marketo to sign Havertz.

Chelsea have already made moves in the transfer market having signed Hakim Ziyech while Timo Werner seems certain to join too.

Yet. SportBuzzer indicate that Chelsea are something of an afterthought for Havertz. Readers are told:

– Kai Havertz wants to join Real Madrid

– Real is Havertz’s dream club

– Havertz is moving to Spain

On Chelsea, the German outlet note that the Blues are willing to pay Bayer’s 100 million euro asking price.

Moreover, Roman Abramovich has reportedly spoken to Havertz on the phone in an effort to close a deal.

Despite that, Havertz is still leaning towards a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

 

What about Bayern Munich?

Bayern Munich’s hopes of signing Havertz look to be over.

Sport Bild have reported that there’s no chance Havertz ends up moving to Bayern this summer.
