Gareth Bale’s relationship with Zinedine Zidane is broken
The front page of Spanish paper Marca has another negative headline for Welsh star Gareth Bale. Readers are told:
Bale – Zidane: this relationship is broken, there are no solutions.
Real Madrid returned to La Liga action on Sunday with a 3-1 home win against Eibar.
Goals from Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos and Marcelo put Real 3-up after 37 minutes. Bigas pulled a goal back for Eibar in the second half.
With 30 minutes remaining, Zinedine Zidane brought Bale off the bench for Rodrygo.
Spanish paper AS confirmed on Monday that Bale missed training yesterday with a slight muscle discomfort following the Eibar game.
However, Bale’s fitness could be a secondary problem compared to his ongoing relationship with Zidane. Marca report:
The club still see Bale as a player capable of playing an important role in winning more trophies, but they also know that his relationship with Zidane is beyond saving.

Leo Messi scored Barca’s fourth goal of the game, his 20th of the season.
However, according to Phil Kitromilides and Sid Lowe on the ‘The Spanish Football Podcast’, Messi is likely to be left out of the Barcelona XI against Leganes on Tuesday.
Barcelona still have 11 La Liga games to play in 5 weeks, and it’s highly unlikely that Messi will play all those game.
That said, Barcelona’s line up against Leganes could be as follows.
