Three tips to mix up your training routine this month

Dubai has been experiencing a rise in temperature this month but despite the heat, we should try to take advantage of the weather before the scorching summer months. Changing up your home workout programme or exercising outdoors can boost morale and sharpen your fitness. People spend enough time going through the same, boring routines, so why not change up your programme and try a fun and varied activity outdoors. There are endless options, but here are my top three. Park run If you are aiming to work on your fitness then you have plenty of running routes to take advantage of around the UAE. Whether you live near the Marina, JLT, Kite Beach, Sports City or Al Barsha Park, there are many options available so people should have no excuse to get out and run a few kilometres. With apartment gyms closed for the foreseeable future, try to get out of the house to run or walk and take in the local atmosphere. Change up the home workout plan One of the main reasons for changing your home workout programme is to avoid being a creature of habit. It’s easy to slip into a routine and not change, but if you continue to follow the same structure then your training will become stale and boring. A tweak of your programme will help to work your body differently and achieve different results. Yoga Yoga is one of the most popular activities in the Emirates, as seen by the thousands of people who turned up to take part in the Yoga Fest at Burj Park in 2016. Many will argue that circuit training and short stretching is best to achieve fitness goals, however, slowing down your focus and turning your attention to mobility and your mental health is just as important.
