Promoseven Sports Marketing, in partnership with the Dubai Sports Council, and Mai Dubai – the hydration partner, has launched a brand new virtual run to encourage exercise and some friendly competition this Ramadan. The Ramadan Mubarak Challenge is an open running event for all ages with three running distances to choose from – 10km, 5km and 2.5km. Taking place on Friday May 22 and Friday May 22, participants have 24 hours to complete the race while complying with the social distancing parameters set in place. And to ensure everyone stays hydrated during the challenge all registered runners will receive a complimentary Alkaline zero sodium 16 litre water bottle delivered to their home. Jason English CEO of CG Holdings commented: “In a world that has changed within the blink of an eye, Al Laith are proud to support the Ramadan Mubarak Challenge initiative and encourage all companies and communities to stay active and healthy during this period. Grab your phone, put on your running shoes, and have fun!” For only AED25, runners can compete with their friends, family and other participants online creating some friendly rivalry. And to encourage the entire family to get involved, organisers are offering free entry for children under 12 with every registration. Once both events have been completed, the results will be combined and the top three winners in each category will be presented with a medal and trophies – all participants will receive a certificate of participation.
