PSG may try to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for €50 million
French outlet Le 10 Sport have claimed on Thursday that PSG are weighing up a possible move to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal.
Aubameyang has scored 17 goals in the Premier League for the Gunners this season. Only Leicester’s Jamie Vardy (19) has more goals in the league.
However, Aubameyang is in the final year of his Arsenal contract, and it remains unclear if the Gabonese forward will agree to remain at the Emirates Stadium.
Meanwhile, PSG are considering their attacking options.
Argentine attacker Mauro Icardi joined PSG on loan from Inter, but PSG are yet to pull the lever on an option to sign the South American.
Icardi scored 12 Ligue 1 goals for the Parisians.
Le 10 Sport report that PSG’s option on Icardi expires on May 31. The French news site also claim:
According to our information, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang… is highly regarded at PSG, who regularly keep abreast of his developments. As it stands, no negotiations have been launched.
Le 10 Sport believes that Aubameyang offers “value for money” as he could be bought for between €40 to 50 million.
The transfer report also notes that Barcelona have a “serious interest” in Aubameyang as well.

Could Alexandre Lacazette also leave Arsenal?
On Wednesday, Spanish paper AS reported that Atletico Madrid could end up signing Alexandre Lacazette from Arsenal.
AS spun a possible swap deal: Thomas Lemar to join Arsenal, Lacazette to move in the opposite direction.
Lacazette is approaching his 29th birthday, and the French striker is out of contract in 2022.
This season, Lacazette has only scored 7 Premier League goals, while the forward has hit the headlines for the wrong reasons in the past few days.

On his off-field issues, the BBC have reported:
Arsenal are taking a report striker Alexandre Lacazette inhaled nitrous oxide from a balloon “seriously”.
It’s unclear whether Lacazette has been punished by Arsenal for this incident.
Whether Atletico end up signing Lacazette or not, AS made some eye-catching claims about the striker’s ongoing future in north London:
His future does not seem to lie with his current club. Arsenal are already hearing possible offers for Lacazette.
NEW: #AFC are open to the idea of parting ways with Lacazette and have already started listening to offers from other clubs. Atletico are big admirers of the Frenchman. A dry swap involving Lemar (or another player) could be attractive for both clubs.https://t.co/QI6abWi6iv

Do Arsenal need to sell their star players?
Yesterday we reported on the state of Arsenal’s balance sheet.
Back in February, Arsenal’s latest accounts showed a £27.1 million loss, despite an increase in football revenue.
Worryingly, it was the first time Arsenal had announced an operating loss since 2002.
Arsenal’s financial results are the consequence of two main factors: no Champions League football and a high wage bill.
The Telegraph’s Sam Dean has predicted that the Gunners will become a selling club:
Given their financial situation before the crisis struck, an elongated suspension could essentially force Arsenal to attempt to cash-in on their key players as soon as possible.
Their best players leaving on the cheap is not part of the business strategy, but it may well become an unavoidable reality.
