Odion Ighalo has recently hinted he would like to extend his current loan at Manchester United.
Ighalo joins Man United
Manchester United made two signing this past January.
The second of those saw the Red Devils secure the services of Odion Ighalo on loan for the remainder of the season.
The Nigerian had previously plied his trade in the Premier League with Watford, but he had somewhat of a poor end to life at Vicarage Road, netting just once in his final 18 PL ties for the Hornets.
However, whilst Ighalo hasn’t stolen the show since pulling on a United shirt, he has proved a useful asset, especially in the absence of Marcus Rashford.
In total, the 30-year-old has netted four and assisted one in eight ties across all competitions.

Ighalo hints at desire to extend loan
However, the COVID-19 pandemic has since caused some potential complications for Ighalo and United.
It is understood that the 35-time capped international’s loan deal is set to expire on the 31st of May.
And with the Premier League not reportedly due to resume until June, this, of course, poses problems for the Man United loanee.
However, if Ighalo gets his way, it sounds like he will be extending his current deal.
When speaking in a recent interview, Ighalo stated that he would like to finish the current season if it is indeed possible:
“I would like to finish the season if it’s possible.
“I was in good form, good shape, scoring goals and now we’ve stopped for over a month. I’ve given it my best and hopefully we’ll come back to play.
“The team had a good momentum before the pandemic started. At the moment I’m on loan, and this will cut short my time at the club.
“The club, myself, every footballer is going through a lot because we can’t do what we love and what we know how to do best, so we’re just thinking about that for now and to finish the season before we start thinking about the contract.”
