Chelsea’s Willian denies claims he’s signing for Tottenham
Willian’s future at Chelsea have been under the spotlight for a while.
The Brazilian midfielder, who’ll turn 32 in August, is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.
On Wednesday, some sections of the UK press suggested that Willian will leave Chelsea to join Tottenham.

Famously, Chelsea signed Willian from under Tottenham’s nose way back 2013.
As was reported at the time, Daniel Levy was “furious” after Chelsea managed to convince Willian to sign for them after Roman Abramovich personally intervened to seal the deal with Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala.
Fast-forwarding to the present, Richard Keys claimed on beIN Sports this week that Jose Mourinho has been in contact with Willian about a possible switch to Spurs.
However, as confirmed by ESPN Brazil reporter Joao Castelo-Branco, Willian has flatly denied the Tottenham transfer story.
Will Willian end up at Arsenal?
Joao Castelo-Branco, writing in English on social media to avoid any mistranslations, claimed:
Willian completely denies rumour that Mourinho has been in touch recently regarding playing for Tottenham. Absolutely no deal even close there.

However, Joao Castelo-Branco also dropped another update for his Brazilian audience too.
Adding in his own speculation, the ESPN Brazil reporter claimed that he believes that Willian will “end up at Arsenal”.

The Sun have previously spoken to ESPN’S Jorge Nicola, who has also backed Arsenal’s pursuit to sign Willian. Jorge Nicola said:
Arsenal are a little ahead today, but everything is still open.
Especially because the pandemic affected the entire financial reality of football in the world.
